Changes
a mournful reflection of human interaction
Changes no matter how intricate, defined by a few seconds, or day on end can define indefinite periods of times
Simple words spoken at the proper moment changes one’s perspective and decision
A simple glance, a smile or frown can affect one’s attitude, outlook and approach to the task at hand
A touch, a hug or the lack there of, can determine the level of loneliness or happiness
Can we pretend that we are unaware of how our actions affect each other
How we fit on the single strand of thread-entangled with one and all
How we stand or how and when we fall vibrates, shakes, trembles and snags the interactive, interwoven, intertwined strand of the fabric that connects us on this ball- this sphere
The rifts that are created when the single strand breaks can lead to spots and wrinkle that blemish our perfection, a false image of our own projection
Contemplating our response, our shame is unheard, unshared, silence, for fear muzzles us
Why are we afraid to help a brother or sister along
If we are neighbors joined by one strong chord, why do we separate ourselves into various categories
If one can truly affect change, why are we lacking in desire, missing the opportunity to act upon the moment
If the rift is mended, the pattern, the unity can be restored
Sadly, it goes unattended, breeding discord
One thread today, multiplies tomorrow, a patch soon needed to cover the sorrow
Another problem arises then, festering injuries breed ill health of all the l-y’s, mentally, physically, emotionally, culturally, spiritually
We are distressed, oppressed and depressed, full of anxiety and anxiousness, full of toxins, anger, rage and fury
And yet we prefer the lies and sweet words of nothingness
Death cloaked in beauty it is, nothing living here, if you have ears-hear
Healing and reconciliation takes place when the wounds are exposed and clean
Change is necessary for growth
We must get beyond the sensitivities of the manifestations of our emotions and recognize the true purpose for which we have been sent
Move beyond the pride and arrogance, the doctrinal prejudice, the socio-economic classes, the races, the castes, the status and the past traditional list
How we make our living or how we spend it is often a misconstrued, distorted barometer of success
We must find ways to mend this. Bring the nations back to the place where love resides,
Will you meet us at the cross as we help gather the lost? Consider it’s cost, or consider it’s gain.
Wave the white flag of surrender,
Jesus is waiting there, his blood has been shed. He is the door, the way out of here, out of this brokeness. He is the threshold of peace, and forgiveness.
To step across His threshold is to step into His open arms, to be embraced by the one with nail pierced hands and a humble heart.
Stepping through the door brings relief (come sit for awhile, share bread and wine)
Stepping through the door makes us whole (He holds all of our missing parts)
Stepping through the door heals our wounded souls (He is the balm of Gilead)
Stepping through the door makes us new (“Behold, I am making all things new.”)
His love, is for all, without bias or prejudice, without blame or condemnation, for His ministry is Reconciliation.

Boy! If this isn’t more relevant this week, I don’t know what is. Thanks for sharing your heart and bars. Lots of snaps as I was reading through this.
Very powerful. You have named and called out many things that we grow desensitized too in this country. Thank you for speaking a prophetic word here, you’re helping us see things that we cannot un-see and calling us back to Christ. Much appreciated!
